    My experience at this restaurant has been with the burgers and fries through the drive-thru. The food is consistently good and the fries are nicely done. They wait until the oil is hot before cooking the fries, meaning they are not soggy. I often order a lettuce wrap in lieu of bread. The lettuce is fresh and plentiful for the wrap.

    We like having breakfast at A&W, but this place was horrible,  Dirtiest A&W that I've ever been.

    This A&W is decent. The chain is a bit more expensive than its most comparable rival Wendy's.

    What I liked...

    1. Friendly staff.
    2. Quick service.
    3. Hot food.

    What I didn't..

    1. Cashier did not use soap when washing hands between the mop bucket and my order.
    2. Dirty floor.
    3. Onion rings stuck together like they left the bag. Too expensive for that.

    I usually like the A&W restaurants. Good Burgers! But this particular location at 194 King W. is very unusual for an A&W. It's dingy, unclean, and unfriendly. I've been to this location only a few times over the years, to redeem my coupons. Each time I've gone in, the staff is VERY unlively (deadpan), rude and unfriendly (in all fairness, the customers seem to be lowlife in this bad location. This can demoralize anyone over time). Every time they've prepared a.meal, it's  undercooked and cold. The tables have been unclean EVERYTIME (!). I find this hard to believe its a coincidence. I've stopped mentioning it to the staff because it does no good (I shouldn't have to). And is it me, or are the prices HIGHER in this location? Almost $5 for small onion rings?!.. I don't think so!

    Again.. This is a VERY unusual situation for an A&W restaurant! All the other ones I've been to in malls or stand-alone restaurants are usually bright, clean, and cheery! A&W should send an inspector to see what's going on here, or consider relocating this A&W to another area in the downtown-- because this place: the staff, the restaurant, and the patrons are rotten and lousy.
